View Out of my Studio Window
While I am painting in my studio, I love looking up to see the views outside of my window.
Included in my view are the multiple lanes of Bangna Trad Highway and I get to see when traffic is moving or when it has all come to a standstill.
And, even though I am tired of the rains and floods I have to admit that rainy season sunsets are the best sunsets.
I enjoyed this one this week!
2. A no-sugar Green Tea drink!
I've been super-busy this week because next week is Eagles Camp, and I have been working hard on preparing for this retreat where we will take 230+ high school students out of Bangkok for a weekend.
Since I have now switched to drinks without sugar, I was glad when I discovered this one a few weeks ago. The more stressful and busy the days get, the more bottles I am buying!
I sure hope they are right when they say green tea is good for you!
3. Zimbabwe
I loved going to the South African Ball last week where the tastes and sounds and sights of Africa brought back a glimpse of my childhood.
I am so thankful that I was raised in Zimbabwe and I treasure the memories that I have. Zimbabwe will always be a part of who I am and it shaped me in more ways that I could possibly count.
So very grateful for the bare-foot days along dusty roads, bright glossy starlings darting around bare branches and the evening smell of wood fires. It may have been over 20 years since I have been to Zimbabwe, but it is always in my heart.
